Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

These classes are slow paced and gentle in nature. During your practice you flow from pose to pose using pranayama breathing practices. These classes are great for those new to yoga, those interested in learning the poses, relaxation techniques, and becoming comfortable with yoga. Expect to move slow and with intention.

Vinyasa is an approach to yoga in which you move from one pose directly into the next. There’s a flow to a Vinyasa yoga session, though the specific poses and the pace of the flow vary from one instructor to the next. Yoga Flow can generally be defined as a yoga class that incorporates energetic movement through a series of asanas (yoga postures), by which the student experiences a sense of fluid physical motion. Additionally, a teacher who is teaching flow will have a theme and sequence of poses to support the class.

In this class, we explore the profound effect that stillness, rest and relaxation all have on the body and mind. Specifically designed to balance the effects of a busy, overworked, “always on” lifestyle, restorative yoga helps guide us into the healthier states of “rest and digest”, peace and wholeness. Alongside heavily propped, gentle poses, there will be guided relaxation, meditation, and extended periods of silence to allow us to sink peacefully into the pure joy of being. All levels.

Yoga nidra is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage, typically induced by a guided meditation.

The meaning of Yoga means “to yolk or join together.” Through an hour long, uplifting class, we will do just that. Bring the whole family along and let’s get mindful on the mat. This class is inclusive to ALL families who want to spend a little time getting peaceful and flowing together. Babies are encouraged to be worn while older kids can explore and jump in where they see fit.

Kundalini yoga is a dynamic practice that incorporates mantra or chanting, meditation and breathing techniques to cultivate complete body awareness. Kundalini is a science with specific kriyas or sequences that aid in awakening the life force located at the base of the spine. Through an uplifting physical and spiritual class, we will channel our higher selves in order to reach our full potential. Intensity varies in each class, but all are beginner friendly.

Mystical Yoga is a union of Sadhana Yoga and indigenous Shamanic practices revealing the inner mystic. It is designed beyond form and tradition, and aims to encompass the essence of yoga as a practice of union. It focuses on the roots of our yoga tradition, which uses yoga as an instrument to reveal the truth of our existence, the spiritual being, wed with indigenous spiritual practice. (Class focuses on restorative / yin yoga principles).

Hatha yoga is the branch of yoga that typically comes to mind when you think of yoga in general terms. The practice involves breath, body, and mind, and classes usually consist of breathing, yoga poses, and meditation.

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing and movement exercises. Appropriate for all levels of practice, including beginners.

Immerse yourself in a sacred breath process and the divine sound of the gong to open our energy centers to prepare you to be a strong channel to receive the golden light that is the Oneness Blessing. The Oneness Blessing (also known as Oneness Deeksha) is a nondenominational benediction. A unique and specific blessing, it is the transfer of Divine Energy which, over time, is designed to bring about the state of Oneness in the recipient.

“Sound therapy is the medicine of the future.” – Edgar Cayce. Immerse yourself in the vibration and frequency of Solfeggio tuning forks, crystal pyramid, gong and Tibetan bowls. Sound is used to balance the chakras around the body and to help center and calm the mind. Body tuners, which are vibratory forks felt on the body, are strategically used to loosen fascia and instill calmness.

Cacao has been used in ancient ceremonies by South Americans (the Maya) for thousands of years. Unlike coffee, which contains a high-concentration of caffeine that stimulates the nervous system, ceremonial cacao contains an abundance of theobromine that stimulates the cardiovascular system and can give you the feeling of a warm and uplifting “hum”. Deepen your connection with yourself through the opening of the heart.

Shinrin-Yoku or forest bathing is the Japanese art of immersing oneself in a forest environment to improve health and wellbeing. Your certified nature and forest therapy guide will lead you on a gentle walk, sharing mindfulness practices and invitations designed to connect you more deeply to nature and your most authentic self. Quiet your mind and awaken your senses on this more lengthy, leisure experience. Guests will immerse themselves more deeply in nature, inviting healing for the body and mind, our fraught ecosystems, and our community. This experience culminates in a tea ceremony featuring an infusion of foraged plants and snacks. Available on the Farm or off site.
